The Department of Statistics started its academic journey with very limited resources. However, the department is currently well-equipped with modern facilities which help both students and faculty members to enrich their academic excellence.

In addition, the department is planning to open a canteen to cater for students, staff and faculty members. An alumni association named Dhaka University Statistics Department Alumni Association (DUSDAA), a very vibrant organization in the University of Dhaka, was formed to set up a bridge between current and former students.
